I Have so Many to Thank

I have been influenced and helped by so many great artists along my road to opening Desco Artistry.

First I would like to thank my Dear Husband Danny for helping me create my studio and putting up with my crazy creative ideas.  Danny is also an amazing carpenter and has been making my canvases for me. This allows me to create on custom sized canvas boards to fit any décor.

Next, my good friend and mentor Camille Roman of Camille Roman fine Art. Check out her Bio Here https://www.camillefineart.com/bio. Camille is a force of nature and a mindfulness teacher.  Camille is a believer that art is therapy for the mind, body and soul.  She strives to create works that will uplift, inspire and motivate the viewer. She has many paintings in private collections across the United States, and UK and has shown work in galleries in Franklin, TN and Nashville, TN.  She also displays her art in local Chicagoland art venues. Camille is a constant source of motivation and encouragement for me.

To all my fellow artists on the internet whom I hope to meet some day…

Thornton and Erica from Artist Till Death have entertained me, and inspired some amazing pieces. Check them out here https://artisttilldeath.com/. Thornton and Erica are Dallas based artists specializing in photorealism, body paint, canvas art, airbrush, murals and Swarovski embellished art. Each piece is custom & one of a kind. They also carry some of my favorite products including their fantastic Stir Stix for working with resin.  These 2 and the "fam" are so generous with their knowledge and kindness.

Stone Coat Countertops are amazing artisans.  https://www.stonecoatcountertops.com/ from home remodeling countertops and floors, to beautiful artwork; their products are one of my current favorites. Mike and Kathryn are the folks who have built Stone Coat Countertops into a thriving business centered around folks who want to learn the skills necessary to get beautiful finishes on their projects. Their epoxy is a patent pending, one of a kind system that is Heat and scratch resistant, Eco friendly, UV resistant, Zero VOC, Renewable, and easy to use.  Stone Coat Counter have worked very hard to provide free how-to video training so folks can make informed decisions on the remodeling choices they have. Mike and Kathryn are an Oregon based eCommerce business owner, contractor, artist and inventor. With years of experience in the trades Mike has learned exactly what it takes to turn an idea into reality.

Marcy Ferro from Los Angeles has been creating art for as long as she can remember. This has taken many forms over the years, most recently settling into the format of "mixed media". As Mixed Media Girl, Marcy creates color-rich, inspiring and thought provoking mixed media pieces, acrylic paintings, portraits and more. You can see the Mixed Media Girl in action on her famous YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW9uWgnhC-mvNI0a6D-n5cw connecting with her fans and teaching amazing art techniques.

Mrs Colorberry https://www.mrscolorberry.com/ has given me so much inspiration.  I just love her work.

Lisa Clough of Lachri Fine Art has been a great source of motivation for me; with great tutorials and sayings like “Mistakes don’t mean you have ruined anything, it just means you are not finished yet.”  Check her out at https://lachri.com/  I have honed and refreshed my skills with her weekly teachings on Patron.

To anyone I have not mentioned keep creating and motivating others!!!

Peace & Love,

K. Desco
